They are geneticists, virologists, software developers, polymer chemists, applied mathematicians and industrial engineers, just to name a few.

De Wet’s key competencies are integrated development planning, strategic environmental and sustainability assessment, facilitating the development of sustainability thinking and prospective planning for sustainability, and the integration of learning and information into transdisciplinary research, development and planning processes.
Charl’s focus is on coordinating and integrating large integrated security-related projects to ensure maximum return of investment for stakeholders.
Christophe Troch’s area of interest is vessel response, ship navigation, wave modelling and physical model scale projects.
Jacobs’ research focuses on developing novel solid-state laser prototypes for military and industrial applications. He is the laser source development platform champion and project leader for laser defence applications. He has a keen interest in new laser architectures, laser control and electronics and scientific software development.
